Recording studio design in Bangalore

Recording studio design combines room acoustics, sound isolation, monitoring and production workflow. Avesonus designs Bangalore recording, podcast, post-production and immersive audio environments, coordinating the acoustic enclosure with equipment and building services. The aim is a space that supports reliable recording and listening decisions—not just a room that looks like a studio.

What does your space need?

01

Recording and control rooms

Plan usable room geometry, monitoring positions, reflection control and low-frequency behaviour. Consider isolation between live and control rooms, cable paths and sightlines. Treatment choices follow the room and intended workflow.

02

Podcast and post-production spaces

Control background noise and reflections at the microphone while making the space practical for presenters, guests and cameras. Editing and post-production rooms also need a considered monitoring setup, not simply a visually appealing backdrop.

03

Immersive audio environments

Coordinate listening position, loudspeaker geometry, mounting, routing and calibration with room acoustics. Dolby Atmos workflows have specific technical requirements. Design support does not by itself confer Dolby certification or approval; any approval requirements must be confirmed separately.

What can the project include?

The scope is agreed around your needs, not a fixed package.

  • Review of production workflow, site constraints, noise environment and performance goals.
  • Room layouts, isolation strategy and acoustic treatment design, with modelling where included in the scope.
  • Monitoring and immersive loudspeaker layouts, signal routing and equipment integration.
  • Coordination of quiet ventilation, penetrations, electrical services and construction details.
  • Installation support, measurement, calibration and handover according to agreed commissioning criteria.

How does a project move from brief to handover?

01

Assess

Review the brief, plans and existing conditions. Agree what site measurements, noise investigation or modelling are needed.

02

Design

Define performance goals, acoustic construction and system layouts. Coordinate the proposal with architectural and building-service requirements.

03

Build & integrate

Select appropriate materials and resolve installation details with the project team. Check that acoustic junctions and service penetrations follow the design.

04

Commission

Measure and calibrate against the agreed scope, document results and explain operation and maintenance at handover.

What affects the project budget?

The intended use, isolation targets, room volume, monitoring format and existing building drive the cost. A podcast room, a music recording facility and an immersive mix room need different systems and construction. Define what is included—acoustic design, enclosure build, equipment, integration and commissioning—before comparing proposals.

Questions before you start

Does studio foam soundproof a recording room?

No. Absorptive foam can affect reflections at some frequencies inside the room, but it is not a substitute for an isolation enclosure. Walls, doors, glazing, floors, ceilings and services determine how sound enters or leaves.

Can you design a Dolby Atmos or immersive audio room?

Avesonus supports immersive audio room and system design, including monitoring layout, acoustics and integration. Requirements depend on the intended workflow. Dolby approval or certification is a separate process and is not implied by a design service.

Why does a studio need quiet ventilation?

Microphones capture background noise, and sealed enclosures still need fresh air and temperature control. Ventilation should be designed for airflow, noise and isolation together, avoiding direct sound paths through ducts and penetrations.

Can a spare room become a recording or podcast studio?

A room may be suitable for some workflows after treatment and equipment planning. Its dimensions, noise exposure, available height and permissible construction set limits. Start with an assessment before committing to high isolation or critical listening targets.

What is needed for a studio design brief?

Share the Bangalore location, measured dimensions and plans, intended recording or mixing work, equipment list, monitoring format, noise concerns, construction constraints and timeline. Include whether the space is leased and what alterations are permitted.
